David Minter Bike Program

The KTLSC awarded a scholarship to the David Minter Bike Program in Southern Oregon. David Minter collects used bicycles, fixes them up, and donates them to youth in the community. With the KTLSC’s donation, Minter has given away dozens of refurbished bikes and still has plenty of money left for more!

“Dre was asked to do online school as he was getting into fights at school.  Mom single parent and works all day!  His therapist said he’s happiest on his beater bike. So also dropped him off a Bmx bike to add to his old beater.  I asked mom what I could do to make his day and she said he wanted a light. 💡 done with rear flasher!” – David Minter
Shortly after – mom got her “new” bike too so they can now ride together!
“Found this bike in white city by a dumpster. Repaired and cleaned today and going back to 4th grade girl who wanted a grownup bike.  Mom lost her house and the moved in with grandma!” – David Minter
“Fifth graders helped me resupply my depleted bike shop today!  Tell KT foundation going strong with 3 more bikes given away this week!  And only 5$ spent on your guys donation!!  Woot!” – David Minter
