The KTLSC awarded a $1,000 scholarship to David Minter in the Central Point SD. David is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked within the Central Point School District since the fall of 2003. He has developed and supported a ski club with scholarship opportunities for students that have limited means to participate. For $200, a Central Point student receives lessons, equipment, and transport to Mt. Ashland ski resort for 4 Friday nights of skiing or snowboarding. Over the last seven years David has worked to build up his scholarship program through local donations. David applied to the KTLSC scholarship program and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship for 5 students to participate in his ski program.

“The KTLSC donation provided clothing and financial assistance to students I have on my caseload. These students are in foster care or have single parents with limited resources.” – David Minter
